The only thing better than seeing this sweet family again was doing their maternity pictures outdoors. Much as I love studio maternity images, being outside means interesting variety and organic, natural images. The A. family and I have seen a lot of each other in the last few years, since we did maternity, newborn, 3 month, 6 month and one year sessions for Allison. Now she’s going to be a big sister, and  of course was part of the maternity session. We were able to use a beautiful field just down the street from their home, so just walked over for the session. It was a lovely summer evening and we had the field to ourselves- heaven!

Now, to do your maternity pictures outdoors, you need to be a little adventurous and ….hardy, shall we say. Luckily, D. didn’t mind a few prickly weeds and a bit of dirt here and there. She was up for anything, and I love the results- such a cute family!

Once we were finished with the maternity pictures outdoors, we headed back to their house for a few indoor images. Outside or in, D. is a gorgeous expectant mama.

This little guy is so lucky to be part of this family! He’s so well loved already. I’m so thankful to know them and to have the honor of photographing their growing family!
