I'm Ellen, a maternity and newborn photographer in Kalamazoo Michigan. I'm a former RN who loved my years working in ICU, but relished the years after that at home with my 4 kids even more.

I've loved babies almost since I was one myself...I remember spending hours poring over the pictures of beautiful babies in the Better Homes & Gardens Baby Book. So to be spending my days capturing the beauty and details of newborns really makes my heart sing. I've been doing this for over a decade, and it still doesn't feel like work. My clients have been known to call me a baby whisperer and ask me to make 2 a.m. house calls, but so far that's a service I don't offer!

When I'm not snuggling babies, you're likely to find me cuddling a puppy. My family raises and trains puppies to be service dogs, and we're expecting puppy #18 in a few months. One of our favorite ways to relax and recharge is to camp and hike and spend time enjoying the outdoors.

I have a soft spot for babies, but strong taste in food- I like my coffee dark, licorice black and my craft beer stout.
