The M. family’s home was the setting for this twin baby photography session. I had met them almost two years ago to photograph their first pregnancy and oldest son’s newborn session. We met again a few months ago for K’s maternity pictures, and I was really eager to meet the twins this time. You might expect chaos and noise with three boys under two years old, but not here. These two are amazing parents and seem to be able to take it all in stride. Everything was under control, the babies were serene for the most part, and big brother Malachi bounced around happily, proud of his ‘big boy’ status.

When doing a twin baby photography session, it seems that the babies are usually happiest when they’re together. Makes sense- they’ve been spending lots of time together, and that’s what they’re used to! We were able to easily get a number of images of the two of them snuggled up to each other-

You can never predict how a toddler is going to like being part of the session with a new baby,  and the toddler/twin baby photography combination is even less predictable! But these guys were rock stars..the babies slept happily, and Malachi was happy to be near them, pat them and give them kisses. He was so very gentle with them, and I love the way that comes across-

Sigh- so sweet! Usually, even at this age, the twins are showing that they each have their own personalities, and these two were no exception. One more wakeful and sensitive, and one more easygoing and ‘go with the flow’. I think you can see who was who : ).

Wonderful to see you again, M. family, and to meet these two adorable guys. You have your hands full, but if anyone can handle it, you can!
