I’ve been waiting to photograph him since his mama’s maternity session, and he’s every bit as sweet as his parents are. And when I see him in his wrap and hat, the song ‘Sweet Pea, Apple of my Eye’, keeps running through my head : ).

This session took place when E. was about a week old- the ideal age for a newborn session. Babies still are sleepy and ‘curly’ then, and it’s a perfect time to get those curled-up poses. If you are pregnant and thinking of a photography session for your new baby, you can call to schedule before your baby is born. We’ll get a tentative date on the calendar and then adjust as necessary, depending on when your baby arrives. That way I’ll know to keep time open in my schedule. I do try to maintain a flexible schedule to squeeze in last-minute newborns as well, but it’s easier to be sure of your time of choice if you preschedule.
