A downtown photography session with one of my very favorite families? Yes, please! Over the years we’ve done sessions indoors when the babies were born and outdoor sessions in the colorful woods and fields of autumn, and an urban session in at the Whistle Stop downtown Kalamazoo. They opted for another downtown session this year, and since the kids are getting a little older and more mobile, we took full advantage of having different fun spots available as backgrounds. We used a colorful wall mural, a bright blue brick wall, a corrugated door, a wonderfully weathered brick wall and one of the downtown churches on the square. The weather and the kids were both perfect, so it was a blast to travel from spot to spot. I absolutely love spending time with this family! Here’s just a sample from our time together:
