It had been years since they’d had family pictures taken, and Melissa was especially eager to take advantage of west Michigan’s lovely fall colors for their portrait session. Since it was such a packed fall, we couldn’t find a time until the very end of the season, and the weather was making me nervous. It was a cool and rainy few weeks, but we were blessed with a lovely day- warm enough, dry, and plenty of color left. She did such a great job with everyone’s outfits- they coordinated well without being too ‘matchy’, and the colors were perfect with the rusts, oranges and reds of the autumn leaves.

And the kids? They were a dream to work with! They had great attitudes, were up for anything, and got along well with each other. It still makes me smile to look at these- they were so much fun to spend time with!
