We did pregnancy photos together for this family’s first baby, so it was like visiting old friends to get together again- love them! A. stays active, exercises and is naturally gorgeous, so of course she was a great model for her pregnancy photos. One of the benefits of doing the session in her home is that all of her clothes are right there, so it was fun to raid her closet to try some things out. One of those things was this fun sparkly skirt that we paired with a tube top- not technically maternity wear, but it worked great to show off her beautiful baby bump.

another advantage of doing the session at home is that siblings, pets (and dads!) can join in for a few pictures and then go and do their own thing for the rest of the session. L., who’s going to have a little brother soon, jumped in for a few. I love his spunk and energy and especially his big smile and easy laugh. He is constant entertainment!

and we can’t leave out the family dog, aka ‘the first baby’- she still sticks pretty close and wants to be a part of it all! Some bright colors made a fun change, too. Sometimes I think I haven’t quite outgrown the dress up phase- I love trying new looks on for pregnancy photos as much as I love dressing newborns in cute hats: ).
