Since this was the third session we’ve done together this year, it felt so familiar to walk in and to set up in their home. Olivia had grown and changed so much since her newborn session!
Even though she was just back from a trip to California to visit with her grandparents, she was happy to be the center of attention (and to change clothes a few times). She loved showing off her new sitting-up and standing-by-furniture skills, too. I love this age, when they’re newly sitting, generally happy, and not moving faster than we are yet!
Her mom had these boots on hand for her session- so cute!
After newborn sessions, my next favorite age to photograph is the six to nine month age. So much has changed in those few short months, and babies are in that adorably chubby, drool-y, outgoing stage. They usually don’t have stranger anxiety yet, have a new outlook on the world because they’re sitting up, and are so proud of it! Even if you missed photographing the newborn stage, this is a great age for a session. See the baby gallery for more examples of pictures of this stage in a baby’s life.
