Newborn photo session details

 

You’re busy and about to be busier with a new baby- I’m here to explain the details, make the process easy and help you get beautiful newborn pictures simply and without stress. If you’ll supply the baby, I’ll do the rest!

Here’s how  a newborn photo session works:

 

Your home- instant studio

I come to you and bring everything we need, and just use a small open space to work in. You don’t need a picture-perfect home- I bring backgrounds that simplify images. Don’t worry about those dust bunnies, either (and clutter will just make me feel at home)!

Advantages to you:

• Dad and siblings can be part of the pictures and then can go and do their own thing. No need to entertain them in a studio for a few hours while we work with the baby alone.
• I  bring all the gear so you don’t have to pack up and get everything out the door. I’ve done the shopping for you and  have a large supply of adorable soft hats, pretty headbands, organic wraps, baskets, etc., and bring a selection with me.
• you can sit back, relax on your couch and just savor the cuteness of your new little one

Best time to schedule your newborn photo session

The best time to get photos of your new baby is at 1 to 2 weeks of age. They’re still sleepy and flexible, which is perfect for those snuggly ‘curled up’ poses.

If possible, schedule your session 3-4 months in advance while there’s plenty of room in the schedule. I know life gets in the way, though, so if your due date is soon or you baby’s already here, contact me and I’ll do my best to find you a spot!

 

Pictures as unique as your baby

We talk,  email or meet in person ahead of time so that you can give me an idea of what’s important to you to capture in your session- poses, colors, etc. I’ll design the session around your priorities. If there are any special props or family heirlooms you’d like to include, let me know. I love to personalize the session with items that are special to you!

 

Easy online ordering

Your pictures will be ready in about two weeks. If you haven’t chosen an all-inclusive session, ordering is done in an online gallery. You can choose to have pictures mailed to you, so it’s possible to have gorgeous newborn pictures without ever leaving home!
