Welcome! I’m a custom photographer specializing in artistic newborn photography in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I create pure, natural, beautiful portraits of newborn babies. I also travel to Portage, Battle Creek, Mattawan, Richland, Plainwell, Allegan, St. Joseph, South Haven, Jackson and other surrounding west Michigan areas.

I know how busy you are in those first weeks, but I make it easy to get beautiful newborn pictures:
- I come to your home- you can sit back and watch
- I bring soft hand knit hats, gorgeous organic-style headbands, and lovely wraps and baskets from my large selection
- You and your family are welcome to be part of the session. Bonus- since you’re at home, once dad and the kids are done, they can do their own thing if they want to- no entertaining them while they wait!
- I have 12 years of experience with newborns, 4 kids of my own and a background as an RN- I’ll handle your baby safely and carefully
- Sessions will be relaxed and unhurried-we’ll take all the time your baby needs to get him settled and comfortable. A typical session is 2-3 hours
- Each session is custom designed, and built around the images, poses and colors that are important to you
- Your photographs will be presented in a secure online gallery for ordering two weeks after your session
The recommended time for a newborn photo session is the first two weeks of life, so if possible, contact me before your baby is born! I do always try to leave room in the schedule for last minute appointments, though, so if your baby is already here, there’s still a good chance we can find a time.

Ideally, newborn sessions are scheduled in advance so that you ensure a spot on the calendar. Don’t worry- I know babies are unpredictable, so I have a flexible schedule and can rearrange dates if necessary based on your baby’s actual arrival. The best time for a newborn session is at 6-14 days of age. Contact me with any questions or to book a session!
