I’m a slow blogger lately! I’ll try to catch up again- here’s one of the sweet newborns I’ve been busy with.

A third baby girl who is adored by her two sisters already, and who slept peacefully through all the hugging, kissing and talking -

I’ve been collecting new Christmas card options for a while now, and just love the new looks! If you’ve had a session this year and would like to use your images to create a card, let me know. You can see all the options here, but here’s a sampling-

Possibly my favorite new cards are these, created especially for the dog members of the family!

One of the best things about photographing newborns is seeing how unique each personality is- they have definite likes and dislikes right from the start, and have no qualms about letting you know if you’re trying to make them do something they dislike! Mr. D. did not like being undressed- keep him swaddled and he was happy as a clam, awake or asleep. Luckily for me, his mom is a champion swaddler and kept him happy!

Miss V. was so sweet to her new baby sister- it was such a pleasure to watch the two of them together!

A few more of the beautiful puppies we photographed. First is Chloe, who was full of energy, and who thought the basket and leaves were there just for her to chew on. I just love her expression-

Trinket, who is mama to the other Papillons here

Hammond in March and now- he’s grown up so much!
Tawny- another fun expression-

Mickey, brother to Wiggles from the previous post. They have the most beautiful eyes!

Thank you to all the raisers who brought their puppies to be photographed!
Paws With a Cause held an appreciation day for its volunteer puppy raisers, and I did some fundraising photo sessions during the day. So much fun- PAWS puppies are so easy to work with, thanks to the hard work of their raisers, so we were able to fit a variety of things into each 15 minute session, from straightforward portraits to some with a fall theme. A random sampling- I’m sure there will be more to come!
Miss C. wasn’t having the best day, but one thing that always brought a smile to her face was having one of her pets nearby- so we had them help us out-
(note the kitty in the buggy with her)

She had beautiful fields behind her house, so we had to use them-

and we caught a few inside, too-

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the fantastic Unleashed dog photography workshop recently with three incredible dog photographers- Barbara Breitsameter, Bev Hollis and Teresa Berg. It was so much fun to spend a few days with others who enjoy working with dogs- we learned a lot and were fortunate enough to be able to work with some great dog ‘models’. Just a few from the weekend-
