So lucky | Kalamazoo newborn photographer

I was reminded again with this session how lucky I am to do something I love so much. Spending time with these brand new little ones, getting to cuddle them for a while, and seeing how much they’re loved by their parents- it doesn’t get any better than that! Mr. J. was 5 pounds of adorableness-

Girly girls

Such fun little girls- and since they liked dressing up as much as I do, we had a great time with tutus and hats-

Tulips in winter

In Michigan, we need all the cheery color we can get this time of year, so ! when I saw these tulips, I just couldn’t resist bringing them to my session with this little peanut. Somehow, I don’t think she even noticed them…usually we’re trying to get babies to sleep, but we couldn’t talk this one into opening her eyes!

I Heart Faces

Check out the I Heart Faces photo blog- they’re having a pet (and people) photo contest this week, and one of the themes of the week is ‘the eyes have it’. I immediately thought of this Olga image, because I’m so drawn to her expressive eyes here. Olga is a former foster puppy, now working as a service dog with a client (yippee!). All the traits she has that make her a perfect working dog and companion are looking up at me here- even temperament, great attitude, zest for life, boundless energy, and just a touch of mischief-
