Sisters

I’ve photographed both of these adorable girls since they were newborns, and they just keep getting cuter!

We went inside, too, to recreate an image that we’d done of S. at the same age K. is now- and I love this one of the two of them together-

Play

They picked wild strawberries, danced in tutus, and had what they told me was ‘the best tea party ever!’ Watching them explore and enjoy their morning was just as much fun for me! I’m showing some of the collages I put together from the session, just for a change of pace.

Baby whisperer

Thank goodness for this little guy’s aunt! She had the magic touch with him- when all else failed, she was able to get him to relax-

Big brother needed a few of his own, too. Wait until you see his eyelashes!

Ideal

A photographer friend once said that if she could make a business of photographing only 6-9 month olds and 4 year old girls, she’d do it. While I’d miss all the other great ages, when I met these two I could see what she meant. Both such sweethearts and at such perfect ages for a session!

I love this kid! Bubbly and sassy and just plain fun- add in an old barn, Matilda Jane clothes and a field and I was in heaven!blog20100518gblog20100518dblog20100518e

Spirited

I was going to describe these girls as ’spunky’, and then thought it was kind of an old fashioned word. When I looked in a thesaurus, it describe spunky as bouncy, energetic, enthusiastic, full of life, full of spirit,  zesty and zippy- yep, that’s what I was trying to say! Describes them to a ‘T’.  Just realized they have hats on in every one of these- we have lots without hats, too, but they loved wearing hats, and looked great in every one-

Troopers

It was cold, breezy and snowy, but these kids had such great attitudes. They’re recent transplants from the UK, but put up with the  Michigan weather without complaint. Amazing!

Dull? Never!

What a fun crew! These kids have energy to spare and lots of personality- it was so much fun to hang out with them for a morning. They did such a great job I had trouble picking out just what to show here-

Superfamily

This family moved into a new home over the weekend and then somehow found the time to have a photo session in their new back yard the next week. A super organized family, I tell you!  And their styling- perfectly pulled together and great with the fall colors-

Growing fast

She’s going to school for full days now (favorite subjects- lunch and recess) and looks so much more grown up than when I photographed her just a year ago. She won my heart when she looked at me while we were working together and said, ‘I could do this all day!’
