I was so happy to hear that E. wanted to be outdoors for her maternity session, and even happier to find beautiful patches of phlox to use as a background. This little one’s nickname is ‘Sprout’, so this is a perfect spot for her!

She’s got it

Style, that is.  Great decorating sense and great taste in music (she introduced me to someone new who I love- check out Brandi Carlile’s music). She loves color and wanted to incorporate it into her session. I offered to bring my orange chair and she already had one- my kind of client!

Awaiting

Another beautiful mom-to-be, expecting her first baby. She was getting ready to wash the baby’s clothes and to do some of the final preparations. I remember those days of anticipation, so eager to meet this new little person.  You know that life will never be the same, and you just can’t wait to see what it holds-

Bittersweet

Miss L. is becoming a big sister soon, and she is so excited about it. She’s one of the sweetest, funniest and smartest two year olds I’ve ever met, and it was so much fun to hear her talk about the baby. I think these two pictures of her say so much about the last few days of being an only child- the excitement of welcoming another baby and the uncertainty about the changes that are coming-
