Happy Father’s Day to all you amazing dads out there- especially those of you celebrating your very first Father’s Day!

There haven’t been many days this fall in Michigan with fall color and without rain, but we managed to find one for this family session. You can’t get a better backdrop than these colorful leaves -

Miss L. didn’t last long for our indoor ideas, so we decided to go to plan B and take her outdoors to see if that would make her happier. And that was all it took- she loved exploring her world outdoors. Their beautiful property had so many perfect spots, and I loved exploring it, too!
just one from inside-

and now for the lovely pond and the fields-

(Partly for Amy, who has Filly’s sister) Introducing Filly- our newest puppy for Paws with a Cause. A bit older than the puppies we usually get- we’ve only had her a few weeks, and she’s 5 months old already. But she’s fit right in with us, and is a sweetheart. She’s living proof of a type of Lab I didn’t know existed- one who doesn’t chew everything in sight! She also came pre-housebroken- I could get used to that. She is social to a fault, and acts like anyone she meets is a long lost relative, even people she’s never seen before. You have to love that Lab enthusiasm~

She would like you to know that she’s been working out since this picture and is now much more svelte : )

and a profile to show she has her Dad’s ears..

I love it when parents want to be in photographs with their children. These are pictures that will be so treasured in years to come. I don’t know of anyone who wishes they had been in fewer pictures with their kids (I know I’ve been behind the camera and not in front of it far too often!). Love some of the interactions that were captured of the G. family- a few collages of them and of Mr. B. and Miss H. (who had to show me her dance moves)-

For styling her family so perfectly! I just love the coordination of these outfits (down to shoes!) and the way they fit into the fall scenery. And could these boys be any cuter? I don’t think so!
