A year old and curious about everything in the world around her- outside is the place to be at this age! Just loved the garden we were able to use in Miss J.’s yard-
Her cousin jumped in for a few- it’s clear that good looks and charm run in the family!
They picked wild strawberries, danced in tutus, and had what they told me was ‘the best tea party ever!’ Watching them explore and enjoy their morning was just as much fun for me! I’m showing some of the collages I put together from the session, just for a change of pace.
Happy Father’s Day to all you amazing dads out there- especially those of you celebrating your very first Father’s Day!
lab, that is- and couldn’t you just eat him up? That soft, wrinkled little belly, that shy little look, those big paws- and yes, he had puppy breath, too….

If you’re feeling snowbound and need a fun activity for the kids this weekend, come to the Kalamazoo Family Expo at the Radisson downtown from 12-5 on Sunday. There will be a children’s art area, a Bounceland, a magician, and lots of other fun things to see and do. I’ll have a booth there- stop by and say hello!
Also, there are just a few days left of the winter maternity special. If you schedule a newborn session for any time this year in the next few days, you receive a complimentary pregnancy session. Spread the word- the response to this has been great, and I’d love to meet even more expectant moms!
the beautiful deep dark eyes, that is- and look at the eyelashes, too! Add the vibrant personalities of these two, and it made for a fun session with a variety of moods!
The baby girl this couple was waiting for here has arrived, and is absolutely beautiful- and adored, as you can see-
Miss C. wasn’t having the best day, but one thing that always brought a smile to her face was having one of her pets nearby- so we had them help us out-

She had beautiful fields behind her house, so we had to use them-
and we caught a few inside, too-
I love the beautiful softer light of September, and it was just gorgeous when I met this family early one morning. The grass was a little damp yet, but I think it was worth it!
