These maternity pictures are some of my favorites of the year. It’s partly because this sweet family was in front of my camera when they were expecting Charlotte and when she was a newborn and I loved working with them then. And it’s partly because we had to be very creative to make this session happen! When we met at the location we had picked, a downpour started as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. Not just a drizzle of rain, but sheets- no chance of getting pictures in that weather. They’re from Mattawan and said it had been dry and fairly clear there when they left, so suggested we head back that way to see if we could make it work. Sure enough, Mattawan skies were gray but dry. We worked fast, because the rain started spitting a few minutes in, and we were determined to get it done. Charlotte was her usual charming, beaming energetic self, which really helped! Here are a few of the family and outdoor maternity pictures we captured:
