When this gorgeous mama-to-be asked if we could do her maternity session at her parents’ home on Gull Lake, I jumped at the chance. Lake maternity pictures? Yes, please! I know how peaceful and beautiful that area is, and I knew we’d have some beautiful scenery to take advantage of. Luckily, Chloe is adventurous and was up for anything, even my (slightly crazy) suggestion that we do some pictures in the water. They’re neighbors to the Gull Lake Country Club, so we used the beach there to wade in. The morning cooperated and was lovely and warm, so it felt good to get a little wet. I even got a chance to go in while taking pictures. I think that’s a first, but I really hope to do more of these sessions- I just love the results! Chloe is radiant, and the soft colors and organic, earthy feel of the lake is a perfect setting to showcase her pregnancy and anticipation of her new little guy. I’m hoping there are more lake maternity sessions in my future!
