This mama-to-be originally had planned to have her maternity pictures taken on the  beach at South Haven, but Mother Nature had other plans in more ways than one. The day of the session was cold and windy (that unpredictable Michigan weather!), so not the best conditions for outdoor photography or baring a belly! And this poor mama-to-be had been down all week with a nasty cold- in fact, she still hadn’t completely gotten her voice back. So we went with plan B and did her maternity pictures at her gorgeous Battle Creek home instead. No outdoor pictures, but I love what we were able to get. We were able to use the nursery, which had a sweet Winnie the Pooh quote stenciled above the crib and was decorated in soft girly pastels. It also included a great selection of one of my weaknesses, kids’ books- I love it when parents are already planning reading times with their babies before they’re even here!
