Mini sessions to celebrate moms

I loved  doing these mini sessions! Seriously, I had the most fun, best dressed (and cutest!) families come for them. Some were old friends and some new, but they all made for a morning that was full of joy, energy and love. I only wish I had pictures of myself with my kids like this (or of me with my mom). I’m so glad all these moms made time to be in the picture….to stop a little bit of time and get moments like these is going to be so appreciated in years to come. I can’t look at these without smiling- here’s a small sample of the mini session pictures-

The mini sessions were held at The Station in downtown Kalamazoo, and I have to admit, I had some pangs of ‘studio envy’ while I was there. The space is huge, and the brick walls and hardwood floors make it a perfect setting. Being able to serve coffee and play music was a nice benefit, too! The bed setup made for an informal and cozy spot for moms and kids to hang out. I’m pretty sure the perk the older kids enjoyed most was being able to jump on the bed at the end of their session- that made for some great expressions!

A huge thank you to all those who made this first mini session experience such a fun one. I’ve already been asked to do more, and I’m considering it, especially now that my knees and back have gotten back to normal!
