I knew from the moment I walked in that I would enjoy taking Darcy’s newborn pictures. Her parents were so welcoming and relaxed, that they made me feel at home immediately. The living room is blessed with large windows overlooking a lake- perfect lighting for taking newborn pictures (I bring lights in case it’s a dark Michigan day, but love the ease of window light when it’s available). Darby was adorable, and went with the flow while we posed her by herself, with her parents, with her big sister and even outdoors…she was one cooperative baby!

Since her sister was a bit older, we were able to try some poses that younger siblings aren’t quite ready for yet. Big sister Claire was great at holding her already, and I love these big sister and newborn pictures.
