Mini sessions are here by popular demand, and I’m so excited to do them. The theme is ‘celebrating moms’, and my goal is to capture hugs, laughter, kisses and love between moms and kids. Of course, we’ll photograph the kids on their own, too, so you’ll have a variety to choose from.

Mini session details:

When: Sat., April 26th, 9:00 am- 12:00

Where: a Kalamazoo studio (rain or shine!)

Who: Moms and kids- we’ll get together images as well as kids alone

What : Mini sessions will be 15-20 minutes long. You’ll get an online gallery of 5-10 images to choose from. The session price of $125 includes 3 digital files, delivered electronically

One set up will have a bed, and there will be another (probably spring-like) area for kids on their own as well.

If you need a bit of encouragement, please read “The Mom Stays in the Picture”, an eloquent post that went viral…I think because it strikes a chord with so many moms.

It was such fun to do the trial session in the example here, and I can’t wait to do more of these mini sessions. They’re fun and low pressure for kids- they may even involve bouncing on the bed! Learn from my (bad) example and get in front of the camera and in the picture- kids are much less excited about that when they’re in their teens, I’ve found, and I regret not being in more pictures when they were small. And, sadly, I’m still not younger/thinner/blessed with fabulous abs or whatever my reason was then for saying ‘not quite yet’.
